Mid summers nights dream.jpeg

We are delighted to offer an exciting Ariel Theatre Trip to the beautiful Chichester Festival Theatre to see Shakespeare's magical comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, on Tuesday 29th September 2026.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be!"

Join us in the exuberant, enchanted world of Shakespeare's much-loved comedy. Artistic Director Justin Audibert follows his hugely successful productions of Hamlet and Redlands with this riotously entertaining new staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream, co-directed with CFT Associate Director Hannah Joss.

Set against the backdrop of Sussex rave culture in the 1990s, this fresh and vibrant production follows four spirited young lovers who escape into a forest filled with mischievous fairies, magical potions and unexpected transformations. As traditional values clash with freedom and hedonism, a whirlwind of confusion, comedy and conflicting desires unfolds.

The production features comedian and satirist Munya Chawawa making his theatrical debut as Bottom, alongside Jemima Rooper as Titania, promising a memorable evening of laughter, magic and theatrical brilliance.
